Lady Antebellum Sets a New Standard for Debut Albums!
by: Susan J. Yeager

We all have at least one CD in our collection that is close to being perfect. It's the one that you listen to over and over again and never get tired of it. You can start at the beginning and play it all the way to the end without hitting the button to skip a track. It's comprised of songs that make you laugh, make you cry, make you want to get in the car and take a drive on an open highway or say a prayer and wait for tomorrow to bring a better day. If you pick up a copy of Lady Antebellum's self-titled debut, you'll now have at least two close to perfect albums.

Hillary Scott, Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley are three singer-songwriters who originally came together with the purpose of writing songs to use individually or to pitch to other artists. Somewhere during those all-night writing marathons, they realized that the blending of their voices created a unique sound that would bring their musical artworks to life in a way that other artists might not be able to match. Suddenly, a trio was born!

Capitol Records instantly signed the group to a record deal and the whole team began to choose songs for the group's debut album. The first song on the CD is also the group's first single, a rockin', up tempo called "Love Don't Live Here." It then moves right into the light-hearted, still rockin' ditty titled "Lookin' for a Good Time."

Track 3 is one of my favorites (probably because I am a sucker for ballads) called "All We'd Ever Need." I'm going to go as far as to say that I think this one can be as big a hit as Faith and Tim's "It's Your Love." Hillary provides the point of view of the female who just can't get over the love who left her and then Charles chimes in as the voice of regret who realized he left "the one." Anyone who has loved and lost is going to be able to relate to this one and the group does an amazing job of capturing the heartbreak and longing in simple, powerful vocals.

From there, we move to the female anthem "Long Gone," which is about keeping your self- respect and dignity, along with your identity after a breakup. Then the group slows down a little with "I Run to You," a sweet song about having someone to help you get through this crazy thing we call life. The music doesn't stay slow long and the next track cranks things up a notch. "Love's Lookin' Good on You" is a toe-tapper about noticing how people light up when they are in love.

It's hard not to be biased towards "Home is Where the Heart is" because it talks about West Virginia and well, I was born and raised there. But I love the message of the song too. It's about a girl who leaves her small town to find bigger dreams. Before she gets to the big city, she has to hang out in West Virginia for a while to make enough money to get to where she was going. While there, she meets the man of her dreams and finds out that this small town really has everything she wants and needs.

Track 8 is called "Things People Say" and it's kind of sad. This song is about a person who loved someone that walked away after promising a future together. Now one person is left there to suffer a broken heart and pick up the pieces of a life that was meant for two. Again, the pace is quickly picked up with a song called "Slow Down Sister." This is about a guy who is confused about his feelings for a girl. He can't decide if is ready to lay everything on the line for someone even though he thinks about her all the time. On the flip side, "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" is a great ballad about the beauty of committing and finally feeling comfortable with someone so you are able to let your guard down.

The last track on the album, "One Day You Will" is an inspirational song that makes you feel like the group spied on you during your darkest moments and want desperately to reassure you that everything will get better. Everyone should keep this song ready to be played at a moment's notice in case they're having one of those days where they feel like no one understands what they are going through. Apparently, Lady Antebellum does.

Most of the songs on the album find Hillary and Charles trading off on vocals and the tactic that isn't often heard on country radio works beautifully on these songs. If you pressed me to draw comparisons to more established artists, I would say that it sounds kind of like Natalie Maines singing with Bob Seger or Michael McDonald. Bringing Dave in to round out the sound, the trio demonstrates smooth three part harmony. Mostly, I would just tell you that this group is good and they're going to go on to do great things in the music world.

Pick up Lady Antebellum 's debut CD! Jump on the bandwagon now! In fact, you might want to pick up two. Something tells me that one copy just might "accidently" disappear when you have company or you just might wear it out!

"If Everyday Could Be Christmas" Then You Could Listen to The New Richie McDonald CD All Year Long!

Most music lovers will recognize Richie McDonald's voice right away. The talented singer/songwriter has spent the last few years with the group Lonestar, bringing hits to radio like "I'm Already There," "No News," "Mr. Mom," and the smash "Amazed."

Earlier this year, Richie announced his departure from Lonestar and his venture into the great unknown of being a solo artist. The father of three wasted no time in releasing his first project, a Christmas album that features a mix of Holiday favorites with new songs written by Richie and his talented collaborators.

Having honed his vocal skills by being on the road for the past decade, Richie's voice is a perfect match on Holiday favorites like "Mary Did You Know?," "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," "The Christmas Song," and "White Christmas." It seems only natural that such a familiar voice brings to life such familiar songs.

Joining Richie on a special track are his three children, Rhett, Mollie and Maise. The McDonald family came together to record a light-hearted new tune called "Why Santa's Fat." We think you will be pleasantly surprised at the song's conclusion.

It's hard to create new Christmas music when people have such attachment to the older standards, but it's no surprise that Richie has managed to capture the magic of the season in his new tunes like "Christmas Lights," "Miracles Happen," and "Coming Home For Christmas." The latter is a tune that he co-wrote with Victoria Shaw and Jim Brickman. If you haven't heard this song yet, call your radio station and ask them to play it. That will hold you over until the CD you order arrives!

Speaking of Jim Brickman, Richie is on the road now as part of Jim's "Holiday Homecoming Concert." This is the perfect opportunity to hear Richie's new holiday music, as well as, some of his greatest hits. Do yourself a favor and catch this show in your area if possible. Trust us when we say that it will be one of the best gifts that you can give yourself and others during this hectic Holiday season.

You can find out more about Richie and order his new CD at www.RichieMcDonald.com or you can benefit a great cause by ordering the CD from The Fan Clubhouse store. For every CD purchased through the Fan Club $5.00 will be donated to the Loretta Johnson Medical Fund. Loretta Johnson and her sisters are a Nashville Institution because they created the International Fan Club Organization. IFCO has been helping fans stay connected with their favorite country music artists for over forty years!

Order from the Fan Clubhouse Store by Clicking here!!!

Lonestar fans may have been nervous about Richie's departure and could have wondered if leaving meant that it would be a long time before they were able to hear his soothing voice again. Rest assured that this Christmas CD is the first of many project for the singer.

Christmas time is here and Richie McDonald's "If Everyday Could Be Christmas" certainly sets the tone for a peaceful and joyous Holiday Season.

Jim Brickman's "Homecoming" is a Perfect Reminder of the Peace of the Season

Jim Brickman has been delighting music fans for years with his piano playing and the ability to write songs that tug at our heart strings. He has collaborated with music's biggest and brightest stars including Martina McBride, Carly Simon, Collin Raye, Michael W. Smith and has found crossover success on the country, Christian, and jazz charts.

His latest album "Homecoming" is a beautiful collection of Holiday music that is sure to catapult any music lover straight into the Holiday spirit. The 13 track collection features serene renditions of holiday classics such as "Good King Wenceslas," "Deck the Halls," and "Auld Lang Syne." As usual, Jim gets by on this album with a little help from his friends including former LoneStar front-man, Richie McDonald. McDonald who is forever embedded in our hearts as the voice behind "Amazed," creates a new Christmas classic with Jim titled "Coming Home for Christmas." Other guest vocalists on the CD include the late Gerald Levert ("My Angel" was his last recording), Anne Cochran, and Victoria Shaw.

Jim poses with Christmas Tour Guest, Richie McDonald.

Great Music Found on Bon Jovi's "Lost Highway"

As Rock Legends, Bon Jovi has just about done it all. The group of boys from New Jersey has sold over 100 million albums, played over 2,500 concerts in over fifty different countries and have entertained over 32 million people at their live shows. We guess the only thing left for them to do was to go country.

On June 19th, the group released their tenth studio album titled "Lost Highway." The album features 12 original tracks that Jon describes as a Bon Jovi record influenced by Nashville. The truth is all the elements that made the groups other recordings classics are showcased on this album too. The stories that you find within hits like Livin on a Prayer and Bed of Roses are similar to stories that youll hear in (You Want to) Make a Memory and Til We Aint Strangers Anymore. The unmistakable voice of Jon is heard even louder in country versions of songs that have a little more piano and steel guitar and slightly less electric and drums. Of course, branding it a true Bon Jovi must have are the harmonies that only Richie and Jon can produce.

Also, marking it as a country collection of tunes is the presence of collaborators Big and Rich and LeAnn Rimes. In true Big and Rich style, their track is a party song called We Got it Going On. Not only are they signing on the track, they co-wrote the tune with Jon and Richie as well.

It's good that this album was released just in time for summer as it feature many tunes that are good for rolling down your windows on a road trip, cranking up the radio and singing along. A couple of those kinds of tunes are the title track, Lost Highway, and the infectious Summertime.

Below is a complete track listing of 12 reasons that you should add the CD to your collection. Bon Jovi might have over 20 years of music experience under their belt but theres a lot of music left to be made down the road.

1.Lost Highway
2.Summertime
3.(You Want to) Make A Memory
4.Whole Lot of Leavin
5.We Got it Going On
6.Any Other Day
7.Seat Next to You
8.Everybody's Broken
9.Til We Ain't Strangers Anymore
10.The Last Night
11.One Step Closer
12.I Love This Town

To purchase this album, pick it up wherever CD's are sold or head to Bon Jovi at Amazon.com or Visit www.Itunes.com to download the CD.

"AMERICAN IDOL" TOP FIVE FINALIST BROOKE WHITE TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM HIGH HOPES & HEARTBREAK JULY 21

As a top five finalist on last season’s "American Idol," Brooke White won the hearts of fans around the world with performances that were passionate, vibrant and strikingly beautiful. She returns July 21st with High Hopes & Heartbreak, a rapturously tuneful album that sees Brooke channeling a few idols of her own - Carole King, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles and Elton John. The result is a stunning collection of songs brimming with warm, indelible melodies and hooks that stick after a single listen.

High Hopes & Heartbreak was produced by Dave Cobb (Shooter Jennings, Chris Cornell, Jamey Johnson) and executive produced by "Idol" judge/veteran producer/session player Randy Jackson. It's worth noting that this is Jackson's first project with a member of the "Idol" alumni. He’s also co-managing White with Carl Stubner, head of Sanctuary Artist Management.

"I wanted to work with Brooke from the moment I met her," says Jackson. "When she sang, I instantly heard the legendary greats that inspired her: Carole King, Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell. She truly is an artist for all ages. And this album is a great collection of songs from a great new artist who was birthed on the stage of 'American Idol.' I'm so happy to be working with an amazingly talented artist at the beginning of her career."

The album will be released through June Baby Records, a brand-new indie label formed by White, Jackson and Stubner.

"If there was one valuable lesson that I learned from my 'Idol' experience, it would be to remain true to myself, even if that means going down the road less traveled and taking a few risks," says the singer-songwriter. "I’ve been hands-on with all aspects of this record, so I decided to form my own label and release it myself, too. Once the decision was made, it felt pretty liberating."

White, who co-wrote the entire record, took the same approach with the album, crafting songs free of genre restrictions. "The goal was to create a very free-flowing, adventurous type of record," she says. "I wanted it to have the feel of a classic, timeless album."

A native of Phoenix, Arizona, White began singing at age 15. She turned heads during last season’s "Idol" by delivering breathtaking renditions of songs by the Beatles ("Let It Be"), Dolly Parton ("Jolene") and Neil Diamond ("I Am I Said"). After she sang Carly Simon's "You're So Vain," Simon proclaimed White to be her favorite "Idol" vocalist. Following her appearance on the show, White appeared on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," and performed on "Live with Regis and Kelly" and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," among others.

Earlier this year, White released "Hold Up My Heart," which hit No. 2 on the iTunes Pop Singles Chart.

Carrie Underwood Is a "10"!

Carrie Becomes the First Country Artist in History to Achieve 10 #1 Singles from Their First Two Albums!

"I Told You So" Today Marks Her 10th #1 Single with Album Sales Already Topping 10 Million!

She's sold more than 10 million albums with her first two records alone, and now Carrie Underwood hits another milestone 10 as her current smash, "I Told You So," becomes her 10th single to top a key sales or airplay chart. The accomplishment makes the four-time GRAMMY winner the first country artist in history ever to achieve 10 #1 singles on the strength of their first two albums.

This week's #1 country airplay blockbuster also marks the fifth consecutive chart-topper from Carrie's Carnival Ride album, which includes "Just a Dream" and three hits Carrie co-wrote: "So Small," "All-American Girl," and "Last Name."

The newly crowned ACM Entertainer of the Year and three-time reigning ACM and CMA Female Vocalist accomplishes the rare feat of taking a former #1 song to the top of the country charts a second time - 21 years after Randy Travis first saw his composition hit the chart summit. She becomes the first country artist to return a song to #1 since Alan Jackson took the Don Williams classic, "It Must Be Love," back to the top nearly nine years ago.

In addition to her original recording of "I Told You So" on Carnival Ride, fans can also enjoy a special studio duet of the song, currently available as a digital single, featuring Carrie with Randy Travis.

The only American Idol winner ever to achieve 10 #1 hits, Underwood's collection of chart-toppers began with the instant success of her post-American Idol single, "Inside Your Heaven," which debuted atop Billboard's Hot 100 chart in the summer of 2005. It was the first of five #1s to top the BDS or Mediabase charts from her 7x-Platinum debut, Some Hearts, with the others including the GRAMMY-winning "Jesus, Take the Wheel" and "Before He Cheats," as well as "Don't Forget to Remember Me" and "Wasted."

And in a bit of Carrie trivia, 10 continues to be a lucky number for Carrie. Her birthday is March 10, and just two weeks after her American Idol win in 2005, she made her debut on the Grand Ole Opry on the 10th of June and later became a member of the Opry with her official induction on May 10, 2008.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD MAKES SECOND HUMANITARIAN TRIP TO AFRICA

Carrie Underwood made her second trip to Africa earlier this month visiting orphanages and health centers near Luanda, Angola where she participated in the area's cause to help fight malaria. Her visit was part of American Idol's "Idol Gives Back" charitable endeavors, and a special video package will air on American Idol Tuesday, May 12 to help show viewers how their donations have helped with various relief programs.

While in Angola, Underwood visited an all-girl orphanage in Luanda where the girls performed songs and poetry for her after she delivered bed nets and backpacks with school supplies to the orphanage. Underwood also participated in a community bed net giveaway in Ngangula, and wrapped up her 3-day trip by visiting a health center in Luanda where pregnant women received malaria counseling and treatment.

American Idol and the Charity Projects Entertainment Fund (CPEF) partnered last year to raise awareness and funds for organizations that provide relief programs to help children and young people in extreme poverty in America and Africa. ExxonMobil sponsored Underwood's most recent trip to Africa.

Jonas Brothers Set to Release Fourth CD Lines, Vines And Trying Times Worldwide June 16; Major Roll-Out for First Single 'Paranoid' Starts May 8

Jonas Brothers' highly anticipated new album Lines, Vines and Trying Times is scheduled for world wide release June 16, and the ramp up kicks off May 8 with the release of the first single, "Paranoid." On May 8, "Paranoid" will roll out to radio and online worldwide, and on Verizon for ring tones. The single will be available for digital download on iTunes staring May 12. The video for "Paranoid" will be directed by The Malloys, who previously worked with Jonas Brothers on their smash hit single and video "Burnin' Up."

Lines, Vines and Trying Times showcases an incredible musical journey by the Jonas Brothers, as well as their growth as songwriters and musicians. They've incorporated horns into several songs, as well as harmonicas and peddle steel guitars. The first single, "Paranoid," is a guitar driven dance evoking song, and the entire CD is a veritable smorgasbord of pop and rock gems. "World War III" is a funk metaphor for a confrontational relationship. Written by Nick Jonas, he asserts, "This is a personal experience for me. 'World War III' deals with the challenge of a girl who keeps attacking you, provoking you, trying to fight you, but all the while she's the only one fighting." "Fly With Me" which is also the end title credit for the upcoming "Night At The Museum 2" film (due in theaters May 22), was written by Jonas Brothers and their bass player Greg Garbowsky, and is sure to become a love song for the ages. On "Poison Ivy" Jonas Brothers added a horn section. In their summer music preview issue, Rolling Stone described the ultracatchy "Poison Ivy" as a "Weezer-ish tune about a toxic girl that you can't resist." "Hey Baby" is a classic "she done him wrong" song written entirely by Jonas Brothers. "We wrote this song for the last record while on the road and felt the old school sound was more cohesive with our present style," explains Nick Jonas.

With all these themes, it's easy to see how Jonas Brothers came up with the title Lines, Vines and Trying Times. Says Joe Jonas, "Lines are the "proverbial" lines people will feed you, and vines are obstacles that get in your way." Adds Kevin Jonas, "Trying Times can be relationships, or anything personal to you. No one is alone in that; we all go through it."

Lines, Vines and Trying Times is the follow up to the #1 debut of A Little Bit Longer and the # 5 debut of Jonas Brothers. Executive produced by Kevin Jonas, Sr., the album was A&R'd by Jon Lind and produced by John Fields. The multi-platinum Jonas Brothers received their first Grammy nomination this year, and have won a slew of awards from around the world, including an American Music Award, as well as multiple Kids' Choice and Teen Choice awards. Worldwide, Jonas Brothers have sold a combined 8.1 million albums, and have garnered a resounding total of 36 gold and platinum album certifications. Following the release of Lines, Vines and Trying Times Jonas Brothers are set to embark on the US portion of their "Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009" on June 20 in Dallas. The tour features guests Jordin Sparks and Honor Society. As previously announced, they will co-host and perform on Canada's Much Music Video Awards the following day.

ASHLEY TISDALE TO RELEASE BRAND-NEW ALBUM - GUILTY PLEASURE - JUNE 16, 2009 ON WARNER BROS. RECORDS

POP SINGER AND ACTRESS TAKES CONTROL ON FIRST ALBUM SINCE COMPLETING HER RUN IN BLOCKBUSTER HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL FRANCHISE

Ashley Tisdale , the singer and actress known to millions as the star of the blockbuster High School Musical series, will release her second album for Warner Bros. Records, entitled Guilty Pleasure, June 16, 2009.

With an edgy, guitar-driven pop-rock sound, Guilty Pleasure is a creative and mature leap forward for this appealing young singer and songwriter, who launched a career as a solo artist with her gold-certified Top 5 rhythmic-pop debut Headstrong in 2007. "Headstrong was a big learning experience, as it was my first album," Tisdale says. "This time I went in knowing exactly what I wanted to do and the message I wanted to put out there, which is that I'm 23 and I'm not just the cute, bubbly blonde girl you know from Disney. I have a tougher side and I love rock music, which are things people probably don't know about me. On each album you get to share with the world who you are as a person, and I wanted my fans to see another side to me. This album really reflects who I am at this point in my life."

Guilty Pleasure is indeed an authentic reflection of a girl growing up and speaking her mind on songs like the first single "It's Alright, It's OK" - a spunky break-up anthem about being single and in control of your life for the first time. "I love break-up songs," Tisdale admits. "On this album, I put to rest a lot of baggage from a previous relationship by venting about the frustration. Everyone can relate to those moments. That song is about how you need to stand up for yourself and not let someone walk all over you; it's a message I wanted to get across to other girls."

Working with a host of top-flight producers and songwriters, such as Kara DioGuardi (Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood), Toby Gad (Beyoncé, Fergie), Billy Steinberg (Madonna), Emanuel Kiriakou (David Archuleta, Nick Lachey), and Swedish production team Twin (who co-wrote the Headstrong singles "Not Like That" and "Be Good To Me"), Tisdale co-wrote several tracks on Guilty Pleasure, including the feisty "Acting Out," whose lyrics could serve as the album's mission statement: "Let me out of this cage / I'm not gonna hold back / I'm gonna break these chains / I'm taking control now / Gonna give you something to talk about / It's another side of me I'm acting out." She also co- wrote the propulsive "Overrated," about not changing your personality for a guy, and two ballads "What If" and "Me Without You." Another album highlight is the slinky, confident "Masquerade," perhaps the most sophisticated song Tisdale has recorded to date.

"I'm growing up and this is music I would listen to," Tisdale says. "On this record, I'm not catering to anyone other than to who I am as a person. I think all of these songs have a message and a story that anyone can relate to. I couldn't sing them if I didn't connect with them myself."

Guilty Pleasure 's first single, "It's Alright, It's OK," ships to Top 40 radio on April 14 — the same day it will be available for purchase via digital retailers. For more on Ashley Tisdale, please visit her official website: www.ashleytisdale.com.

DEFYING GRAVITY KICKS KEITH URBAN'S '09 INTO HIGH GEAR

In just this past year, Keith Urban has charted 3 #1 singles, "You Look Good In My Shirt" and "Start A Band" (a duet with Brad Paisley) as well as his latest two week,10th #1 single, "Sweet Thing," from his forthcoming March 31st release Defying Gravity (Capitol Records Nashville). His latest single "Kiss A Girl", marks the highest debut of any 2nd single released from an Urban album.

In addition, he's had a platinum-selling DVD (Love, Pain & the whole crazy World Tour), from his critically hailed concert tour of the same name. He's collaborated with the likes of Al Green, Justin Timberlake, Boyz II Men, B.B. King, Buddy Guy and John Mayer, has been nominated for 3 Academy of Country Music Awards, including its prestigious Entertainer of the Year, and with the release of his 5th studio recording Defying Gravity, his year is sure to kick into high gear.

"It wasn't a conscious theme," said Urban. "But listening back, I think that Defying Gravity is about being brave enough to love. Fortunately, that is where I'm at right now in my life. And coming down the road that I've taken to be here, I do feel a lot of gratitude."

This sentiment reinforces what is an openhearted and uplifting album that contains a deeply felt musical statement, a song cycle marked by a clearheaded sense of passion and hope. From a variety of perspectives, Defying Gravity looks at love as an ever-changing force in our lives. From the excitement of courting on a song like "Sweet Thing", to the atmospheric heartbreak of "Til Summer Comes Around", to the pure desire of "Standing Right In Front Of You", to the constant longing for a love on "Why's It Feel So Long."

"I'm present in a way I've never quite been before," adds Urban. "I was always thinking about tomorrow, or the past, anywhere but here. Now I love being present I have a lot to be grateful for in the present."

Next month Urban will begin rehearsals for his "Escape Together World Tour" together with Kingsford© and KC Masterpiece© and sponsored by Verizon. Set to launch in May, it is already being lauded as a show not to be missed.

Urban will team with a different touring partner in each city, including superstars Sugarland and Taylor Swift, as well as Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, The Zac Brown Band, Little Big Town, Dierks Bentley and the legendary Glen Campbell.

ALAN JACKSON'S SISSY'S SONG VIDEO DEBUTS ON CMT & GAC TODAY

"Sissy's Song," the poignant new video from Alan Jackson's #l selling album GOOD TIME, debuts today on CMT in heavy rotation and on GAC in power rotation.

"Sissy's Song" is the fourth single from Jackson"s #l hit album GOOD TIME. He wrote it after the sudden death of Leslie “Sissy" Fitzgerald who worked in the Jackson household and who the Jacksons saw every day. Sissy died on May 20 2007, in a motorcycle accident, and left behind a college age daughter and high school age son and her husband, who is an expert car restorer and also works for the Jackson's.

Jackson has said, "I didn’t sleep for a while. So I sat down one day and wrote this song and after that I felt all right." Jackson recorded the song and gave it to the Fitzgerald family for the funeral. "A lot of people told me how much it made them feel better and helped them get through it a little easier, so I was very proud of it."

The video was directed by Scott Scovill and shot in black and white at the historic Bear Creek Church in Culleoka, Tennessee, 60 miles south of Nashville. The church and its cemetery were added to the National Registry of Historic Places in 1985. It is legendary for having been the place of worship and safety for Confederate soldiers during the Civil War. Reports of hauntings have swirled around the church for years and ghost hunters claim to have captured spectral photos of spirits in the churchyard.

Jackson has scored three consecutive #l singles from GOOD TIME: "Small Town Southern Man"; "Good Time"; and "Country Boy", the last of which became his 34st #1.

BRAD PAISLEY WINS TWO GRAMMY'S

Best Male Country Vocal Performance

Best Country Instrumental Performance

Yesterday afternoon in the pre-telecast portion of The 51st GRAMMY Awards, Brad Paisley won Best Male Country Vocal Performance for his self-penned #1 "Letter To Me" and Best Country Instrumental Performance for "Cluster Pluck" from his current instrumental album PLAY. Joining him on "Cluster Pluck" are fellow pickers James Burton, Vince Gill, John Jorgenson, Albert Lee, Brent Mason, Redd Volkaert and Steve Wariner.

Paisley was at home when he got the news of his wins and said, "I am so thrilled to have won these awards tonight. As a singer, what an honor to be recognized in this way, especially for a song about the insecurities I had to overcome as a teenager. I can't tell you how this energizes me as a recording artist. And as a player, accompanied by these guitar legends, I am beyond humbled to be in the record books along side my heroes for "Cluster Pluck." I am thinking tonight of my collaborators on this record that had never won a Grammy before now and add to that the fact that my hero John Jorgenson did the accepting of the award.

Here is the coolest thing: On the prelude to "Cluster Pluck" on the album, Jimmy Dickens tells the grandson to write down these names. Well, the official monikers have changed. Let me now be the first to present to you Grammy winner Albert Lee, Grammy winner John Jorgenson, Grammy winner Brent Mason, Grammy winner Redd Volkaert, Grammy winner James Burton...(now that's just too cool), and multiple Grammy winner Steve Wariner. Oh, lastly, this is now Vince Gill's 20th Grammy. He's off to a great start. Anyway, to have been a part of this with these icons is something I will forever be proud."

HOLLYWOOD RECORDS TO RELEASE DEBUT CD FROM DANCING WITH THE STARS MARK BALLAS AND DEREK HOUGH ON MARCH 10

BALLAS HOUGH BAND PREVIEWING SONGS FROM UPCOMING ALBUM BHB DURING SELECT TOUR DATES

BALLAS HOUGH BAND SET TO PERFORM FIRST SINGLE DO IT FOR YOUON GOOD MORNING AMERICA FEBRUARY 5

Hollywood Records has announced a March 10th release for BHB, the highly anticipated debut from the Ballas Hough Band. The band, which features Dancing with the Stars fan favorites Mark Ballas and Derek Hough, recorded the album with producers John Fields (Jonas Brothers), Eric Valentine (Maroon 5, Good Charlotte) and Adam & Andy (Jesse McCartney).

The bands line-up features Mark and Derek on vocals and guitar, Emily Grace on keyboards and vocals, bassist Sam Marder and drummer Harry Sullivan. In addition to their own originals, the album features collaborations with songwriters Dan Wilson, Kevin Kadish and Marty James on several tracks. Lead single Do It For You was co-written by new American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi and mixed by Serban Ghenea (Justin Timberlake, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, NERD).

Ballas Hough Band will perform Do It For You February 5th on Good Morning America as part of GMAs Winter Concert Series. The Winter Concert Series performances are free and open to the public. Fans can go to the GMA Times Square Studio at 43rd and Broadway in midtown Manhattan. Entrance to the studio is on a first-come, first-served bases. Fans should arrive no later than 7:00am. Concert performances start around 8:30am.

Though best known for their dancing prowess, Mark and Derek have been writing and playing music together for 10 years, ever since they both attended a London performing arts school together as teens. While they continued developing their music, the two found lasting fame as professional dancers on "Dancing with the Stars," which routinely draws 18 million viewers per episode. Dereks latest win, with partner Brooke Burke, marked back-to-back victories for both dancers, with Mark winning last season along with his partner, skater Kristi Yamaguchi.

About the band, Derek says, "Im sure that peoples first reaction to us will be, 'These dancing guys think they can play guitar now?' But after seeing us play, they'll realize that this is not a Hollywood move to make a quick buck. Eventually, people will come to know that we can shred on guitar, rip on the bass, that our drummer had a scholarship to Berklee College of Music, that our piano player is trained as well as any Julliard graduate, and that we're five kids who've grown up together and know each other inside and out, and have been playing together for years."
